Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for the right applicant to join a winning team at Maritime Transport. While the responsibilities of this role closely align with those of a Booking Clerk, successful applicants will officially join the company under the title of Gatehouse Operative. This is a full-time permanent position.

We are looking for someone who will provide coordination of all rail & road vehicles of the Intermodal Rail & Road Freight terminal. Responsible for all access and egress onto the iPort Rail terminal for all Customer, Visitors and Suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service and the overall communication for the iPort Rail Terminal.
- Responsibility for the In - Out gate services within the Gatehouse.
- Ensure all documentation and checks are undertaken for trucks and containers are registered on the system.
- Maintain on-site communications and support Reach Stacker/Shunter on traffic movements and locations.
- Responsibilities for monitoring of Visitors & Contractors and coordinate as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Good numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to GCSE Level 4/Grade C
- Experience of container terminal operations and planning
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Previous administrative experience
- Valid driving licence
- Knowledge of Fargo systems software CYMAN system desirable although not essential
