We are currently recruiting for a Night Trainee Traffic Operator to join our successful Transport department based in Alconbury. As the Night Trainee Traffic Operator, you will be trained to be responsible for supporting our Transport Operators / Planners with the day to day operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Booking containers in and out of the container yard, remaining polite and courteous to all customers, colleagues and driver
  • Ensure all release/acceptance information is entered into the system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Actively audit release/acceptances to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensuring all container numbers are correctly recorded both in and out of the system
  • Ensure CCTV is utilised when booking in/out for recording purposes
  • Actively seek additional work wherever possible from current customers, and Management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the customer base, understand requirements and communicate accurate information on time as required
  • Working with a team effectively communicating requirements
  • Maintain high standards of good housekeeping, including your workstation and environment
  • Maintain health and safety standards, and actively report observations & concerns

We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following:

  • Previous experience within Transport or similar environment – Preferred not essential
  • Competent IT skills
  • Clear communicator – written and verbal
  • Highly personable and can work well in a team
  • Great attention to detail
