  • Work with the Risk and Compliance Team to support the ongoing development of risk assessments, safe systems of work, policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the training of the Company’s health and safety management system, including personal injury investigation, incident management and drug and alcohol testing procedures, as well as identifying new or external training requirements.
  • Ensure all personal injuries and incidents are investigated in a timely manner and any statutory reporting (RIDDOR) is notified in accordance with current legislation.

  • Previous experience in a health and safety role in a Rail Freight Terminal, Container Yard, Port or other heavy plant environment is an advantage.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team, as well as managing own workload and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Competence in detailed/factual report writing.
  • Ability to communicate and build good working relationships at all levels of the business.
