In this role you will provide effective and efficient administrative support to HM Coastguard Operations to ensure a high level of customer service is given to both internal and external stakeholders.

HM Coastguard (HMCG) is the operational arm of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) with responsibility for 6 key missions - Search and Rescue, Pollution Response, Vessel Traffic Management, Maritime Safety, Maritime Security and Emergency and Disaster management.

Top Responsibilities
  • Ensuring appropriate Operational Support resource is allocated for the administrative support for national functions.
  • Providing resource for full executive secretariat functions and managing administrative tasks for HMCG management operational meetings and working groups as required.
  • Management of the HMCG uniform ordering process.
  • Providing Operational Support resource to HMCG Operations.
  • Management and administration of team email inboxes.
  • Line management activities of the reporting officers including conducting performance management reviews, staff welfare, leave and absence requests and authorisation of staff travel and expenses.
  • You will line manage 5-7 direct reports.
