The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) is seeking a Staff Officer – Technical Service. As the operational arm of the MCA, HM Coastguard delivers six critical missions: Search and Rescue, Pollution Response, Vessel Traffic Management, Maritime Safety, Maritime Security, and Emergency and Disaster Management. The Technical Services team plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and advancement of the systems that underpin these missions.
Working closely with operational managers, Information Technology (IT) specialists, and international partners, the team provides expert guidance, develops future system requirements, and ensures compliance with national and international standards. This is an opportunity to influence technology that supports life-saving operations and maritime safety across the UK and beyond.
