The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to join our Information Technology Directorate. Our mission is to keep people safe on the coast and at sea, and technology plays a vital role in achieving this. The IT Directorate delivers innovative digital, data, and technology solutions that support lifesaving operations and critical services across the UK. You will be part of a collaborative, forward‐thinking team that manages complex projects and drives transformation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will help ensure our systems and services are robust, efficient, and future‐ready. MCA offers a hybrid working model, giving you flexibility while contributing to projects that make a real difference to public safety and maritime operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver MCA's digital, data, and technology projects, focusing on medium and large‐scale initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects meet agreed objectives within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies within project tolerances.
- Apply best‐practice project management methods and maintain accurate project plans.
- Manage scope control and change processes effectively.
- Coordinate dependencies across multiple projects and initiatives within MCA.
- Handle escalations promptly, resolving issues or escalating beyond tolerances when necessary.
