Can you help shape the future of UK maritime training by supporting the development and delivery of strategy, policy, and modernised certification approaches? Have you worked with a diverse range of customers and/or stakeholders—and enjoyed doing so—to understand their needs and help shape processes, services, or policies that support business or organisational outcomes? Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support: Contribute to the delivery of the MCA’s Seafarers and Fishers Training Strategy, including areas such as MASS, alternative fuels, digital solutions, and modern assessment methods. Ensure policy development aligns with wider government strategies on skills, employment and decarbonisation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support stakeholder engagement activities across industry, training providers, unions and government departments. Help ensure policy is co‑developed, clearly communicated and broadly supported.
  • Policy Development & Regulation: Assist in the development and implementation of policy and regulation.
