The role supports the MCA's regulatory programme by providing robust economic and analytical advice, helping to ensure regulations, codes of practice and guidance are informed by high-quality evidence. You will work closely with policy, operational and analytical colleagues across the Agency and wider Department for Transport, supporting impact assessments, post implementation reviews and analytical assurance. Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:
- Providing analytical input and assurance in line with the MCA Analytical Assurance Framework.
- Delivering analysis for Impact Assessments and Post Implementation Reviews.
- Supporting the MCA's response to the Government's Regulatory Action Plan.
- Quantifying the economic impact of regulations, including administrative costs to business.
- Building understanding of strategic and operational drivers across the Agency.
- Developing trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Embedding good analytical practice in line with HM Treasury guidance.
- Supporting delivery of the MCA Analytical Strategy and wider economic analysis priorities.
