More about the role:
As a general guide you will prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing special dietary requirements where necessary for residents. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will maintain accurate records and the correct ordering of food supplies. You will also check deliveries and ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and the kitchen, dining areas, including equipment, are cleaned to statutory Health and Safety standards.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of working in a care home kitchen, as well as a Level 2 or Level 3 catering qualification or equivalent or a commitment to undertake further training and development relevant to the role.
We require you to have a good standard of English and numeracy skills, and a passion for looking after the adults in your care.
