More About The Role
Duties as an Assistant Chef are varied, and no two days will be the same in the home’s busy kitchen. As a general guide you will prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing special dietary requirements where necessary for residents. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will maintain accurate records and the correct orders of food supplies. You will also check deliveries and ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately, and the kitchen, dining areas, including equipment, are cleaned to statutory Health and Safety standards.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with Level 2 or Level 3 catering qualification or equivalent or a commitment to undertake further training and development relevant to the role.
