At Derwent, we're searching for an experienced Senior Care Assistant (Bank) to help guide our incredible care team and support our residents in living happy, healthy and independent lives. If you've got experience in care and have previously helped to supervise a team, this could be the perfect role for you.
What's the job about?
As a Senior Carer, you'll combine hands-on care with supervisory duties. It's all about ensuring that every resident receives the very best care while mentoring and supporting your colleagues to be their best. Here's a flavour of what you'll be doing:
- Coaching and mentoring your team so they're confident and skilled in every part of their role.
- Supporting residents with a range of personal care needs, while making sure dignity, respect, and privacy are always maintained.
- Ensuring every resident has a comprehensive and up-to-date care plan that reflects their needs, and making sure your team follows it to the letter.
- Dispensing medication with accuracy and care, keeping detailed records as you go.
This role is a mix of hands-on care and supervisory responsibilities, so you'll need to feel comfortable juggling tasks while always keeping our residents' happiness and wellbeing at the heart of what you do.
