About the role:

As our Maintenance Operative, you will be joining a friendly team at St Lukes, working to ensure the condition of our building is maintained to a high standard. You will liaise with the Home Manager and Estates Manager, regarding internal maintenance work and external contractor works (planned, reactive and emergency). You will complete basic fire, electrical and appliance checks, reporting all faults and carry out any small-scale decoration of bedrooms and some common areas, when required.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who can demonstrate a range of skills to ensure our home is maintained to the highest standards in a safe and efficient, practical manner. A Level 2 Diploma in Property Maintenance would be an advantage but if you don’t have this yet (or are working towards it) we are happy to support you with your qualifications. What we're really looking for is an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure – someone who is able to use their own initiative to solve problems and who takes pride in their work.

Our recruitment process:

If you’re offered a role with us, it will be conditional on some standard checks, like references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We also need you to have good English and numeracy skills, plus a passion for caring and helping our residents to thrive.

At Mariposa Care, we’re committed to building a fair and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from everyone, no matter your age, gender, gender identity or expression, religion, belief, disability, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
