About the role

As Clinical Care Practitioner, you will proactively support the Nursing team in managing the day-to-day running of our care teams, ensuring the delivery of the highest level of person-centred care and support to residents and their families and friends. You will be a highly experienced carer holding Level 3 H&SC, with a genuine passion for people and the desire to ensure that those we care for can live their best lives by being dedicated, thoughtful and reliable. In return, we will support you all the way with a tailored career development plan so you have everything you need to enjoy a fantastic future with us. This role is a mix of hands‑on care and supervisory responsibilities, so you’ll need to feel comfortable juggling tasks while always keeping our residents’ happiness and wellbeing at the heart of what you do.

Our great benefits include:

  • Recognition of service payments, receiving a total of £500 in your first year.
  • UNLIMITED £1,000 ‘Refer a Friend’ payments (that’s potentially £1,000 every time you link us up with another great new person to join the team!)
  • Training and qualifications funded by us.
  • Annual pay reviews recognising your contribution to making our homes a great place to live and work.
  • Private health care options helping reduce the cost of essential bills, such as dentists and opticians.
  • An organisation with an impressive internal promotion record and creating great opportunities for people.
  • A supportive team who values you, your individuality, and your aspirations.

What’s the job about?

As a Clinical Care Practitioner, you’ll combine hands‑on care with team leader duties. It’s all about ensuring that every resident receives the very best care while mentoring and supporting your colleagues to be their best. Here’s a flavour of what you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising your care team so they’re confident and skilled in every part of their role.
  • Supporting residents with a range of personal care needs, while making sure dignity, respect and privacy are always maintained.
  • Assisting and supporting the Nurse to assess and identify the needs of the residents, and developing complete, comprehensive and person‑centred care plans.
  • Supporting the nursing team with all aspects of medication according to the home’s policies and procedures.

Our recruitment process

If you’re offered a role with us, it will be conditional on some standard checks, like references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We also need you to have good English and numeracy skills, plus a passion for caring and helping our residents to thrive. We want every candidate to feel supported and able to perform at their best during the recruitment process. If you need any assistance or would like to request a reasonable adjustment at any stage, just drop us an email at recruitment@mariposacare.com – we’ll be happy to help.
