Tyne and Wear Learning Trust are seeking to appoint an outstanding, experienced and highly motivated Teacher and SENDCO to join their successful school, Marine Park Primary. We recognise that the successful candidate may be subject to contractual notice periods and, therefore, are able to offer a start date of January 2027, or earlier by mutual agreement.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional classroom practitioner who is passionate about inclusion and committed to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. The successful candidate will lead SEND provision across the school whilst maintaining a teaching commitment and will play a key role in ensuring that pupils with additional needs achieve the very best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes for pupils.
- Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO).
- Have experience of leading or coordinating SEND provision within a primary setting.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
- Have experience of working effectively with pupils who have a wide range of additional needs.
- Be able to support and challenge colleagues to deliver high quality inclusive practice.
- Build strong partnerships with families, external agencies and other professionals.
- Be committed to securing the best possible outcomes for all children.
This post is ideally suited to an experienced primary teacher and qualified SENDCO who combines excellent classroom practice with effective leadership and a passion for inclusion. The successful candidate will have the expertise and confidence to lead SEND provision from the outset, working strategically with senior leaders, staff, families and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
