Job Summary
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. The role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving IT systems, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the company's infrastructure, and providing Level 2 and Level 3 support with escalation where appropriate.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain core IT systems: Support the management and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, servers, and business critical applications.
- Provide Level 2 technical support to Users (Desktop & Remote Support)
- Provide Level 3 infrastructure support
- Install and configure systems: Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems, applications, and software.
- User life cycle management: Provision new starters and deprovision leavers across all relevant systems.
- Ensure data security: Maintain the integrity of data security and support compliance with internal and external standards.
- Maintain CyberEssentials Plus: Support ongoing compliance and ensure security controls remain effective.
- Monitor system performance: Track system health, identify risks, and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime.
- Manage IT resources: Oversee hardware, software, licenses, and asset life cycles to ensure efficient utilisation.
Experience & Skills
- Microsoft Infrastructure, Desktop & Remote Support Role
- Relevant Degree qualification or qualified by experience
- Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
- Exchange Hybrid environments
- Cloud Office 365 support
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Experience with system administration and IT security practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable Skills
- VMware infrastructure role.
- Networks & VLANS.
- Experience with remote assistance tools (PDQ, LogMeIn, TeamViewer).
Located in Winsford, Cheshire, the hours are 40 per week, hybrid. Flexible; however core hours are 7.30-4:30 Mon-Thurs with 1pm finish on a Friday. The role is mainly on-site so please apply if you are within a commutable distance.
Salary £40,000-£50,000 plus benefits, depending on level of experience.
