Our client is a well-established supplier to the marine industry and is seeking a Junior Technical Sales Executive to support their experienced technical sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical boating knowledge who enjoys building relationships and wants to develop a long-term career in technical sales. Full product and technical training will be provided.
The Role
- Supporting the senior technical sales team across Southern England
- Developing new customer relationships and identifying business opportunities
- Visiting boat builders, boatyards, marine manufacturers and other marine customers
- Providing technical advice and product support to customers
- Managing customer relationships through regular face-to-face visits
- Representing the business at key industry events and boat shows
- Home-based role with regular travel throughout the territory
- Office attendance required periodically depending on location
- Frequent travel and occasional overnight stays as part of the role
About You
- Practical experience within the marine industry
- Background in areas such as:
- Boat building
- Composite manufacturing
- Marine coatings or paint
- Boat repair and restoration
- Chandlery
- Marine engineering
- Other hands-on marine technical roles
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident meeting customers and representing a business professionally
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Sales experience is beneficial but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
Candidates should ideally be based within easy reach of the South Coast.
