Moulding Operative
We're working with a leading marine manufacturer that is looking to add a Moulding Operative to its production team.
This is a hands-on role supporting the manufacture of high-quality composite boats, with a focus on producing and preparing moulded components to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Assist with the assembly, finishing and inspection of moulded composite parts.
Prepare mouldings for the next stages of production.
Support the bonding and assembly of composite boat structures.
Carry out cutting, grinding and flow coating to achieve a high-quality finish.
Build sub-assemblies as required.
Support other areas of the manufacturing process when needed.
Assist in the training and development of new production operatives where appropriate.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Work in accordance with all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Undertake any additional duties required to support the production team.
About You We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in producing quality work.
Ideally, you'll have
At least 2 years' experience in a composite, manufacturing or engineering environment, or an Engineering BTEC qualification with relevant industry experience.
Experience using workshop hand and power tools.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high workmanship standards.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing production demands.
