My Client are a specialist marine engineering company driving the next wave of maritime innovation through cutting-edge vessel optimisation and decarbonisation solutions. With a focus on high-performance systems, hydrodynamics, foiling, and advanced ship structures, we’re reshaping the marine landscape with each project we deliver.
We’re looking for talented Naval Architects to join our growing team. Whether you're early in your career or bring senior-level experience, this is a rare opportunity to work with some of the best minds in the industry—playing a key role in concept development, structural design, and system integration from initial brief through to build.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop ship structures and general vessel architecture in line with international regulations and Class rules.
- Collaborate with shipyards and partner design offices to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of designs.
- Work across vessel system design, integration, and optimisation—always with structural integrity and performance in mind.
- Manage class drawing approval processes and produce statutory technical documentation (e.g. visibility and nav light plans).
- Track and deliver project outputs on time and to a high standard of engineering quality.
- (Senior level) Provide mentorship to junior engineers and lead on key technical decisions.
- Strong understanding of Classification Society rules and IMO regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in general ship design, structures, and vessel systems.
- Comfortable liaising with Class, shipyards, and external engineering teams.
- Previous work in a shipyard or marine design office preferred.
- Familiarity with producing and managing class-required documentation.
- Eager to explore new tools, technologies, and design approaches.
- Passionate about contributing to decarbonisation and sustainable marine tech.
- Strong project management, organisation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in CAD tools and general engineering software.
- Understanding of hydrodynamics, vessel stability, and materials selection.
- (Senior level) Leadership and mentoring capability.
