Our client is a long-established designer and manufacturer of high-quality power conversion, voltage stabilisation, USB charging and connectivity solutions. Their products are trusted across a range of sectors including automotive, rail, communications, marine, mining and agriculture, supporting mission-critical applications worldwide.

As the business continues to expand its international presence, we are seeking an experienced French speaking Sales Manager to drive sales growth across multiple markets and product divisions.

About the Role

This is a strategic and commercially focused position with responsibility for developing new business opportunities and growing existing accounts across a diverse range of sectors, including automotive, rail, communications, marine, mining and agriculture.

You will build strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, system integrators and end users, identifying opportunities to introduce innovative technical solutions that meet customer needs. Working closely with internal engineering, production and marketing teams, you will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver sustainable sales growth. A significant element of the role will involve supporting and developing relationships with French-speaking customers and partners, making fluency in both French and English essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets across multiple business sectors.
  • Identify, develop and manage new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, system integrators and key end users.
  • Develop business opportunities across French-speaking territories and international markets.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers on product selection and application requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop customer-focused solutions and support business growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to identify new opportunities.
  • Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions and customer meetings throughout the UK and internationally.
  • Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, presentations and contract negotiations.

About You

  • Fluent in both French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record in technical sales, business development or account management within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a successful history of delivering sales growth.
  • Technically minded, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions.
  • Experience selling into one or more of the automotive, rail, communications, marine, mining or agriculture sectors would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
