About the Role
We’re recruiting for a Night Marina Operative to join a welcoming and committed team at a well-established marina in Gosport. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a customer-focused environment and enjoys a role with real responsibility—especially when it comes to safety, security, and delivering a high standard of service.
As a key member of the night team, you’ll help ensure the marina and boatyard remain secure and well-managed throughout the night. Responsibilities include carrying out regular patrols, completing safety and security checks, monitoring access to restricted areas, and overseeing CCTV systems. Our customers depend on us to maintain a safe and reassuring environment, and you’ll play an important part in delivering that.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service or customer-facing experience
- A positive, “can-do” attitude and a flexible approach to teamwork
- The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team
- A calm and professional manner, especially under pressure
- Confidence using computer-based systems and learning new software
Previous experience in a similar role—or knowledge of boating and local waters—is an advantage, but not essential. Full training will be provided, and you’ll be supported in developing your skills and progressing in the role.
Working Pattern
This is a night-shift position working 12-hour shifts based on a set rota, including weekends and Bank/Public Holidays. The shift pattern typically follows:
- 3 nights on
- 2 nights off
- 2 nights on
This equates to 7 shifts across a two-week period. Occasional daytime shifts may also be required.
