The Role
As a Welder Fabricator, you'll be responsible for producing and assembling fabricated metalwork from engineering drawings, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Fabricating and assembling metal components from technical drawings.
- Carrying out MIG, TIG and ARC welding to a high standard.
- Preparing materials by cutting, grinding and cleaning prior to fabrication.
- Inspecting finished welds and fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring tools remain in good working order.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Identifying and resolving fabrication or welding issues as they arise.
- Following all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role you'll ideally have:
- At least 3 years' experience in a Welder Fabricator position.
- Strong experience with MIG welding, with TIG and ARC welding experience also beneficial.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A strong work ethic with a reliable and positive attitude.
