Your Mission In this interim leadership role, you’ll ensure the seamless continuation of product development efforts and provide day-to-day support for a high-performing Engineering team. Key Responsibilities Work alongside the Technical Director to deliver on the product development strategy, ensuring projects meet performance, cost, and sustainability targets. Plan and schedule engineering activities to align with business priorities and ensure delivery of key milestones. Oversee design projects from concept to completion – managing resources, timelines, budgets, and technical quality. Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Projects, and Production to ensure alignment across delivery teams. Drive continuous improvement in product design, working with internal teams and specialist consultants to enhance performance and reduce cost. Monitor and manage project budgets, including R&D and team overheads, in partnership with Finance. Develop and optimise engineering processes to improve delivery efficiency and maintain high standards of quality. Provide clear, consistent reporting to senior stakeholders and board-level audiences. Offer leadership and line management to engineering team members as required. Be a trusted technical advisor to the wider organisation, providing guidance across engineering, operations, and commercial functions.About You Degree-qualified in Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent) 10+ years’ experience in engineering roles with a strong background in product development Proven track record of leading successful engineering projects from conception through to delivery Experienced in managing and mentoring technical teams Skilled in engineering and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Excel) Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-driven environmentWhy Join?
