The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality fabrication, machining, assembly, and structural drawings for large Yachts and Ships, working to standards such as Lloyd’s Register and DNV. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on understanding of marine engineering principles, including corrosion protection, weld preparation, and the use of marine-grade materials, as well as the ability to contribute to product development and design improvements.\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\nCreate and develop steel, stainless steel, and aluminum fabricated structures to meet classification body requirements.\\nProduce detailed technical drawings using a major CAD system (preferably NX, but AutoCAD with a willingness to learn NX and Teamcenter is acceptable).\\nEnsure drawings meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards and are optimized for Design for Manufacturing (DFM).\\nConduct basic hand calculations for fastener sizing, structural stress, and related engineering considerations.\\nApply a comprehensive understanding of marine-grade materials, welding, bonding, fastening, and corrosion protection techniques.\\nSupport the development of innovative marine solutions, collaborating closely with design and manufacturing teams.\\nMaintain compliance with relevant standards and classifications, including Lloyd’s Register and DNV.Qualifications and Skills\\nRequired:\\n\\nA degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Marine, or Aerospace Engineering.\\nExtensive experience using a major CAD system (NX preferred) to produce precise and professional drawings.\\nStrong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application in design.\\nExcellent understanding of materials science, welding, bonding, fastening, and related fabrication techniques.Desirable:\\n\\nFamiliarity with workshop processes, including fabrication and CNC machining.\\nKnowledge of Teamcenter and Siemens Simcenter software.\\nUnderstanding of manufacturing techniques and processes, especially within a marine context.Personal Attributes:\\n\\nA self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.\\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.\\nCommitted to accuracy, attention to detail, and delivering high-quality results.\\nPassionate about personal and professional development, with a willingness to support and mentor others. \\nWhat We Offer\\n\\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays.\\nCompetitive company pension scheme.\\nPrivate medical insurance.\\nLife assurance.\\nElectric car and pension salary sacrifice schemes.\\nCycle to work scheme.\\nRegular social events and a supportive team culture.How to Apply\\nIf you are passionate about innovation and thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment, we want to hear from you!
