I am currently working with a well-established marina and boatyard operation based in a stunning South Cornwall location, who are looking to add an experienced Marine Engineer to their growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, highly regarded marine business offering a full range of repair, refit and maintenance services across leisure and small commercial vessels.
The successful candidate will be involved in a varied role covering servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of marine engines and onboard systems.
The Role:- Carrying out mechanical and electrical servicing, fault finding and repairs on inboard and outboard engines and associated systems
- Supporting maintenance and repair work on a variety of leisure and small commercial craft
- Conducting sea trials following repairs where required (training can be provided if needed)
- Working both on-site and occasionally at nearby marine locations
- Liaising with customers and the wider engineering team
- Keeping up to date with current marine products, systems and manufacturer training
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Requirements:- Previous experience working as a Marine Engineer within a similar environment (ideally 3 - 5 years minimum)
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
- Experience with marine diesel and outboard engines
