Boat Builder – Luxury Yacht Manufacturer Full Time | Permanent | Norfolk I’m currently working with a well-established British yacht manufacturer, known for producing high-end, bluewater sailing yachts. This is a business where traditional craftsmanship meets modern engineering, and they’re looking to bring in an experienced Boat Builder to support continued growth at their Norfolk site. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in both interior and exterior build, contributing to the full lifecycle of the yacht. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and takes pride in high-quality finishes. The Role Working as part of an experienced production team, you’ll be responsible for manufacturing and fitting a wide range of components across luxury sailing yachts. You’ll be working from technical drawings and specifications, ensuring everything is built and installed to a high standard. The role covers a mix of joinery, structural work, and final fit-out, so it would suit someone with a broad boatbuilding background or a strong trade skillset within marine. Key Responsibilities Fitting sailing hardware including winches, cleats, clutches and tracks Installing bulkheads and structural components Epoxy lay-up of sub-assemblies Manufacture and installation of cabin sole bearers and sole boards Cladding and finishing of interior bulkheads Building and fitting bespoke boat furniture Basic upholstery work on interior panels Manufacture and fitting of cabin doors GRP/fibreglass fitting and structural work Installation of hull windows, hatches and deck fittings Teak deck and deck gear installation Fairing, finishing and snagging of composite modules General quality checks and testing About You You’ll ideally come from a boatbuilding or marine background, with experience across timber and/or GRP construction. That said, candidates from related trades (joinery, composites, carpentry) with the right attitude are also encouraged to apply. You should be comfortable working from technical drawings, confident using hand and power tools, and have a good understanding of health and safety on site. Attention to detail is key here, along with a proactive mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
