My client is looking for a Design & Installation Engineer to join their growing team. This is a varied role combining design, installation, commissioning, and project delivery across the commercial and leisure marine sectors. If you enjoy turning ideas into reality, solving technical challenges, and seeing projects through from design to installation, this could be the perfect opportunity.

The Role

  • Design and develop electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Lead and support installation projects from concept to completion.
  • Carry out testing, commissioning, fault finding, and troubleshooting.
  • Produce technical drawings, schematics, and project documentation.
  • Work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Travel to sites across the UK and overseas when required.
  • Work independently or lead teams on-site.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to create and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Confident using AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.
  • HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Solar system design and installation experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
