Are you ready to take your engineering career around the world? We’re working with a world leader in advanced marine control systems, supplying high-performance technology to commercial ships, naval vessels and luxury yachts across the globe.
This is a hands-on, field-based Service Engineer role that will see you travelling internationally to install, commission, service and repair complex marine stabilisation and control systems — the cutting-edge technology that keeps vessels stable, efficient, and safe at sea. When not travelling, you’ll be based at the UK headquarters, providing remote service support, preparing equipment, and liaising with customers to ensure first-class aftersales care.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out on-board installation, commissioning, service and repair of advanced marine systems
- Providing technical support to customers and colleagues when back in the UK
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals
- Troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
- Maintaining detailed service documentation and reports
- Representing the company with professionalism and pride wherever you go
What we’re looking for:
- At least 2 years’ experience assembling, maintaining or servicing mechanical/electrical systems
- Confident understanding of hydraulics, electrics, and mechanics
- Ability to diagnose faults and think on your feet
- Independent, practical and self-motivated engineer with strong problem-solving skills
- Computer literate and comfortable completing reports and documentation
- Willing and eager to travel internationally at short notice
- Marine experience or background highly advantageous
