We’re partnering with a leading global marine technology business to appoint a Key Account Director to take ownership of a strategically critical, international OEM relationship. This is not a “manage the account and report the numbers” kind of role. This is full spectrum ownership commercial, technical and strategic with real influence at executive level.

Operating across Commercial, Technical and Strategic domains to drive global OEM account growth.

What this role actually is

  • You’ll act as the Account CEO for a major global OEM, responsible for shaping long-term strategy, growing value, and aligning multiple business units into one coherent customer approach.
  • You’ll be the single point of executive accountability for the relationship internally and externally ensuring strategy translates into revenue, margin, innovation and long-term partnership.

Key focus areas

  • Lead and grow a global OEM account across multiple regions and stakeholder groups.
  • Build and maintain C-level relationships across a complex customer structure.
  • Own commercial performance, margin development and long-term value creation.
  • Lead high-level negotiations and strategic contract discussions.
  • Align cross-functional teams across multiple business units into one customer strategy.
  • Drive innovation, integration and co-development with product and technical teams.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable commercial and technical solutions.
  • Own governance, escalation and executive decision-making frameworks.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 10+ years in senior commercial / key account leadership roles ideally in the marine electronics/equipment sector.
  • Proven experience in complex OEM, systems or solution led environments.
  • Strong executive presence and credibility in senior stakeholder discussions.
  • Ability a proven track record of operating across commercial, technical and strategic domains.
  • Experience leading cross-functional and matrixed teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of revenue and margin growth.
  • Confident negotiator with a long-term partnership mindset.
  • Strong analytical and business interpretation skills.
