Product Planner / Buyer – Technical Clothing & Watersports Gear
Location: Fareham, UK (Office-Based)

Are you a hands-on, organised planner with a knack for keeping stock flowing and suppliers on track? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, purpose-driven brand in the watersports world, looking for a confident Product Planner / Buyer to join their growing operations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in technical apparel, sportswear, or performance products to take ownership of planning and buying across a diverse product range – from fast-moving technical gear to specialist seasonal lines.

The Role You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end planning and purchasing process – from placing orders with global factories to ensuring timely delivery into UK and international distribution hubs. It’s a varied role!
You\’ll be a key part of ensuring stock is available without overordering, managing supplier relationships, and helping streamline internal systems and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage inventory across a wide product range
  • Place and manage purchase orders with international suppliers
  • Forecast demand and align with seasonal sales trends
  • Track lead times, manage inbound logistics and coordinate with freight partners
  • Resolve delivery issues and delays with proactive solutions
  • Keep internal systems accurate and up to date
  • Support product lifecycle decisions – reorders, discontinuations, and clearance

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a similar buying, planning, or supply chain role (apparel/technical products preferred)
  • Calm under pressure, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator – especially with overseas suppliers and logistics partners
  • Comfortable in spreadsheets and planning tools (ERP experience a bonus)
  • Commercially aware and able to think ahead
  • Proactive and accountable – someone who gets stuck in and owns their role
