We are seeking an experienced Marina Manager to lead a well-established marina operation on the South Coast. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a unique and thriving members' sailing club that supports current and former Armed Forces personnel.
With a 200-berth marina, a busy boat park, and a packed calendar of lifting, launching, and member services, this is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong operational background, excellent team management skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
The Role
As Marina Manager, you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient day-to-day running of the marina and boat park, overseeing a small dedicated team and managing all marine operations and maintenance activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and executing safe lift and launch operations (500+ annually)
- Operating and maintaining equipment including 14T Wise trailer-hoist, Roodberg trailer, tractors, and MOD 50T travel lift
- Overseeing berth allocation, boat storage, bookings, and member liaison
- Maintaining and repairing marina infrastructure, machinery, and safety equipment
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Coaching and developing the marina team (Supervisor + 2 Operatives)
- Carrying out routine groundworks and contributing to the improvement of services
