We’re looking for skilled Finishers with experience in GRP repair, gel coat finishing and composite work to join a high‑end boatbuilding environment. You’ll be part of a dedicated finishing team producing beautifully detailed components for luxury vessels — quality, precision and pride in craftsmanship are at the heart of what you do.
The Role
- Working within a busy and collaborative production team, you’ll be responsible for the finishing and repair of gel coat surfaces and GRP composite mouldings, ensuring every part meets exacting standards before it reaches the final build line.
- Inspecting and identifying defects that require rework.
- Carrying out gel coat repairs and removing imperfections or joint lines.
- Fairing, filling and polishing to a mirror finish.
- Trimming GRP components using air saws, routers and diamond cutting tools.
- Sanding and finishing edges for a smooth, professional result.
- Maintaining a tidy, safe work area and ensuring correct PPE is always used.
- Supporting colleagues and helping to train new team members when required.
About You
- Proven experience in GRP finishing, gel coat repair or detailing work.
- A meticulous eye for detail and pride in achieving a perfect finish.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a close‑knit team.
- A proactive, quality‑focused attitude with good time management.
- Ideally, experience from marine, automotive, motorsport or similar precision industries.
