A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Marina Operative to join a well‑established and highly regarded marina operation on the South Coast. This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, delivering excellent customer service, and being part of a close‑knit marina team. No two days are the same, with responsibilities spanning marina operations, site maintenance, berth assistance, and supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the marina.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and hardworking environment where training and long‑term development are actively encouraged.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting with daily marina operations and berth management
- Providing a high level of customer service to berth holders and visitors
- Supporting boat movements and marina activities
- Carrying out general maintenance and upkeep across the site
- Ensuring the marina remains safe, clean, and operational year‑round
- Supporting the wider marina team with additional operational duties as required
- A positive, proactive, and team‑focused attitude
- Strong customer service skills and confidence dealing with people
- Comfortable learning and using computer‑based systems
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Previous marina, boating, or boat handling experience would be highly advantageous, alongside local sailing knowledge, although full training can be provided for the right individual.
This role includes working both indoors and outdoors in all weathers, working alternate weekends, and bank holidays as the rota dictates. This would be on an average 40 hour week, on a ten days on four days off shift pattern, as required.
