Your Role as Senior Sous Chef

As Senior Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal leadership role within our kitchen, working closely with the Executive Head Chef to drive standards, performance, and innovation across all food offerings. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the kitchen operation, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, and service delivery. Acting as a key leader, you will inspire, develop, and support the brigade while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and guest satisfaction.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the Executive Head Chef in leading all kitchen operations across multiple outlets and events.
  • Take full responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Head Chef.
  • Drive consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes and service periods.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the kitchen team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure effective stock control, ordering, and cost management to meet financial targets.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance.
  • Contribute to menu development, seasonal changes, and innovative dining concepts.
  • Work collaboratively with front‑of‑house teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high‑volume, quality‑led environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • A passion for fresh, seasonal food and delivering exceptional culinary standards.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing costs, GP, and kitchen performance.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
