What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Regional Director of Finance, you will take ownership of financial oversight across a portfolio of hotels, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and strong commercial insight. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing finance operations across 3–6 hotels, with direct line management of on‑property Financial Controllers
  • Producing and reviewing key reporting including weekly rolling forecasts, monthly forecasts, P&L packs, and budgets
  • Analysing performance, identifying variances against budget, and partnering with operational leaders to drive improvements
  • Reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance with internal controls
  • Managing cash flow forecasting and working capital across the portfolio
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with UK regulations
  • Leading external audits and coordinating internal audit processes
  • Managing accounts receivable, including ageing analysis and bad debt provisioning
  • Supporting new hotel transitions, including due diligence and system implementation
  • Developing and coaching regional and on‑property finance teams
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to support commercial decision‑making and business performance

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in finance or accounting, ideally within hospitality or multi‑site environments
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of financial controls and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills, with confidence in data analysis and financial modelling
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience with Business Central (preferred)
  • Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera or Infor HMS (advantageous)
