If you do, we would love to meet you. We are looking for Leisure Team members to join a team of distinguished hospitality enthusiasts. Our goal is to create the greatest golf hotel experience in the world, and you would be part of the leisure services offered at the hotel.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Leisure Club Team Member to join the team at the Marine North Berwick. Reporting into the Leisure and Spa Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and setting up gym equipment
- Dealing with any accidents out of the water β for example, people slipping on wet surfaces
- Cleaning the pool area and facilities such as spa bath, saunas, and showers
- Monitoring and maintaining the water quality in the pool, and checking equipment such as heating or ventilation units, filters, and pumps
- Supervising changing rooms, keeping them clean and tidy, checking lockers, and reporting missing keys
- Using a computerised membership and Spa bookings database
- Dealing with face-to-face, telephone, and email enquiries
- Upselling and promoting our memberships
- Meeting monthly sales targets as outlined by your line manager
- Opening and closing procedures of the facilities, as outlined by your line manager
What are we looking for?
- Pool responder/Lifeguard Qualifications (desirable, training will be provided)
- An understanding and sound knowledge of the health and fitness industry
- Level 2/level 3 Gym instructor qualification (desirable)
- Pool plant/operation experience (desirable)
