We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team at the Slieve Donard Hotel. Reporting into the Restaurant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of management within the department including but not limited to:
- The consistent delivery of an exceptional guest experience, meeting and exceeding our guests' expectations.
- Assisting with stock control and inventory management.
- Assisting with the control of costs and optimising profits whilst maintaining exceptional standards of service and presentation.
- The management of the department in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
- Ensuring that the cleanliness of the department outlets is maintained to a high standard, including all stores, fixtures, and equipment.
- Assisting with scheduling of team members and payroll costs in line with revenue forecasting.
- Assisting with managing team members' attendance, performance management, conduct and training and development supported by HR.
- Responsible for handling cash and end of day checking.
- Responsible for float count and float audit as required, providing necessary reports when requested.
- Duty Manager responsibilities.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 yearsโ experience at supervisory level or above, preferably within a hotel environment.
- Excellent guest service experience.
- Proven ability to control time management and costs within a team.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to work and make decisions independently for the good of the department.
- Problem Solving Aptitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
