Great British Beach Clean (GBBC) Administrator Home-based, UK About Us The Marine Conservation Society fights for the future of our ocean through people-powered action – with science on our side. We defend habitats and species, with communities, businesses, and governments. Together, we work towards a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean. We are now looking for a GBBC Administrator to join our dedicated team on a full-time, fixed-term contract, starting 2nd June 2025 until 31st October 2025, working 35 hours per week. The Role As the GBBC Administrator, you’ll support the co-ordination and promotion of the Great British Beach Clean. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the event runs smoothly, engaging organisations and communities, and supporting communication efforts. In this varied role, your duties will also include helping to grow participation, liaise with volunteers, and manage event data. Additionally, you will: – Handle phone and email enquiries from volunteers, beach owners, and organisations – Support businesses and corporate teams to participate in beach clean events – Maintain accurate records of GBBC events, volunteer numbers, and survey data – Assist with the creation of promotional content, newsletters, and social media posts – Assist with event logistics, including risk assessments and resources for volunteers About You To be considered as the GBBC Administrator, you will need: – Experience handling customer or volunteer enquiries in a professional manner – A track record of organising events or supporting large-scale projects within set timescales – Strong administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excellent written and verbal communication skills – Strong attention to detail, particularly in data entry and reporting – A proactive approach to teamwork, with the ability to manage multiple tasks Please note, occasional travel to external meetings and events, with potential overnight stays in the UK may be required.
