Pay Rate: £13.00 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 17.5 hours per week (Weekends off)

About the Role: We are seeking a female Home Care Worker from India (Hindu) to provide good quality reliable cooking and housekeeping support for an elderly Hindu gentleman living alone in Southall. This is a non-personal care role as the gentleman is able to manage his personal care duties. The focus is on preparing fresh vegetarian meals and maintaining a tidy, comfortable home, ensuring safety and reporting any concerns. The client has a supportive family living nearby who visit regularly.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing fresh home-cooked Hindu vegetarian meals such as chapatis, aloo dishes, lady’s fingers, vegetable curries, Indian tea, and English breakfast sometimes.
- General housekeeping, including cleaning dishes, tidying the kitchen and bedroom, wiping surfaces, laundry, and keeping the home safe and pleasant.
- Ensuring the home remains clean, organised, and welcoming.
- Providing friendly companionship and conversation during visits; hence the need for someone from the same culture and religious background.
Qualifications:
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Female applicants only (for cultural preference).
- Experience in Indian vegetarian/Hindu cooking to a high standard.
- 2 professional references from previous employers.
- DBS on the update service (preferred but not necessary).
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently during Monday to Friday.
