Are you someone who cares deeply about others and wants to bring comfort when it matters most?

Join our Hospital Companion service at Mount Gould Hospital or Derriford Hospital, where you can make a meaningful difference to people with a terminal diagnosis.

As a volunteer, you\’ll offer emotional support, companionship, and a calming presence to people who need it most. Each week, you\’ll spend time with someone – listening, chatting, and simply being there when they need a friendly face.

Availability: 3 hours per week – flexible to suit your schedule

What you\’ll do:

• Spend time with someone each week
• Offer emotional support and companionship
• Share helpful info and connect families to local services
• Complete a basic report after each visit
