We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our community team in Hertfordshire and work towards providing holistic, person centred, end of life care and support needs of people in their own homes.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include monitoring and assisting with the maintenance of patients\’ skin integrity and personal hygiene, observing and supporting nutritional needs, attending to comfort requirements to facilitate rest and sleep, providing mobility support, and maintaining a clean and orderly care environment.

Job responsibilities
As a Healthcare Assistant you will practice empathetic communication with the patient and those important to them in a supportive, professional manner and provide high quality personal care and support to enhance wellbeing.
Contract: Permanent, Flexible Hours
Work Schedule:Night Shifts: Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays
Shift hours: 10:00pm 7:00am
Based: This role covers the following postcodes and areas. You will be covering a 25-mile radius from your base location:
- HP2 4TL – Watford, Rickmansworth, Borehamwood
- HP2 7YU – Herts Valley.
What we are looking for:
- Recent experience delivering care in a health or social care setting, including supporting patients during end-of-life care.
- Preferred: NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Be person-centred and compassionate when caring for the person and those important to them.
- Ability to develop and evaluate care management plans that meet the complex needs of the person, and those important to them.
- Emotional resilience and the capacity to work independently.
- A valid driving license and access to a car for travel to peoples homes.
