We are recruiting for a Hub Coordinator to join the team in either the Cardiff Hospice in Penarth or the Dafen Office in Llanelli on a permanent basis. As a Hub Coordinator, you will play a key role as part of our clinical support team as you act as a first point of contact for all Marie Curie services in either the Cardiff Hospice or the Dafen Office.

Main duties of the job:

  • Collaborating with Senior Coordinators to maintain the efficient operation of the coordination hub by liaising with clinical support and management staff, volunteers, referrers, local CHC teams, and patients' families and carers during and after care.
  • Overseeing and facilitating the referral process, coordinating and scheduling care as needed, ensuring precise data entry into both operational and clinical systems.
  • Using Robotic Process Automation systems such as eCommunity, EMIS, and SystemOne.

This position demands a high level of diplomacy, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Job responsibilities:

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £24,833 per annum + enhancements (pro rata)

Contract: Permanent, part-time. 18.75 hours per week. Shifts will be between 07:00am - 10:00pm, 7 days per week service.

Based: Candidates can select their base to be in either the Cardiff Hospice in Penarth or the Dafen Office in Llanelli.

What we’re looking for:

  • Working knowledge of windows applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc), Emails and the Internet.
  • Experience in a customer care or mediation role, including dealing with complaints in a health setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to helping patients with complex care needs.
  • Ability to solve problems and take proactive action to address issues.
  • A desire to help others, work towards targets and develop their skills.
