At Marie Curie, our hospices provide expert care and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families. As our Maintenance Supervisor at Edinburgh Hospice, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, welcoming, and fully operational for patients, visitors, volunteers, and colleagues.
What you will be doing:
Leading a dedicated maintenance team, you will oversee the effective maintenance of our buildings, grounds, equipment, and essential systems, ensuring that everything is maintained to the highest standards. You'll use your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to manage both planned and reactive maintenance activities, support compliance with health and safety requirements, and help deliver an excellent facilities service across the site.

What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in team leadership, contractor management, and budget oversight within a maintenance or facilities environment.
- A recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering to at least HNC or NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
- Experience managing and maintaining Building Management Systems (BMS) and carrying out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
- A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation, including fire safety management, compliance monitoring, and legionella control.
- Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Experience within a healthcare, hospice, or care environment would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 5 £34,544 to £43,039 per annum
Contract: Permanent 37.5 hours per week
