Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our community team in Hampshire and work towards providing holistic, person-centred end-of-life care and support in people’s homes. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and assisting with patients’ skin integrity and personal hygiene, supporting nutritional needs, attending to comfort and rest, providing mobility support, and maintaining a clean and orderly care environment. You will practice empathetic communication with the patient and those important to them in a supportive, professional manner and provide high quality personal care and support to enhance wellbeing.
Contract and Work Schedule
Contract: Permanent positions available, full-time or reduced hours
Work Schedule: Day shifts: Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays
Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Salary and Location
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, Band 2 (Aligned with AFC) £24,465 per Annum, Plus Enhancements
Based: Community Based – Hampshire
What We’re Looking For
- At least six months of recent experience providing care in a Health or Social Care Environment, including caring for patients at the end of life.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred, not required).
- Be person-centred and compassionate when caring for the person and those important to them.
- Ability to develop and evaluate care management plans that meet the complex needs of the person and those important to them.
- Emotional resilience and the capacity to work independently.
- A valid driving license and access to a car for travel to patient homes.
