We are recruiting Healthcare Assistants for our Hospice Care at Home Overnight Service, covering Beverley, Bridlington, Hornsea, Goole, Withernsea and surrounding areas.
Hours & Salary
- Part‑time – 36 hours per week, various 9‑hour night shifts (10 pm – 7 am).
- Salary: AFC Band 2 £24,465 per annum plus enhancements (pro‑rata).
Responsibilities
- Support patients and families in the time of greatest need, providing specialist palliative care and emotional support.
- Carry out a range of care duties: help with hygiene, monitor symptoms, assist with medication, record observations, and provide emotional support.
- Work independently to implement the patient’s care plan, maintaining detailed records.
What we’re looking for
- Relevant community experience.
- S/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or an equivalent certificate/diploma (required).
- Recent experience of providing care for life‑limiting illness or palliative care needs.
- Strong emotional resilience and the ability to work independently.
- UK‑licensed driver with access to a car and business insurance (essential).
