We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Curriculum Leader for Performing Arts who is committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning and can inspire young people through a genuine passion for the performing arts. Whilst a specialism in Music would be advantageous, we welcome applications from candidates with other Performing Arts specialisms who have the vision and expertise to lead a dynamic and creative department. The successful candidate will be an effective and inspirational classroom teacher with a track record of successful outcomes for students from a wide range of backgrounds. They must have a good understanding of current educational developments within the subject and a passion for supporting students on their journey in a Catholic school. They will have the ability to develop others to improve performance and have the highest expectations of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Performing Arts department with a focus on high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Inspire young people through a genuine passion for the performing arts.
  • Provide effective and inspirational classroom teaching and support a track record of successful student outcomes from diverse backgrounds.
  • Develop others to improve performance and uphold the highest expectations of students.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Specialism in Performing Arts; a Music specialism is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Vision and expertise to lead a dynamic and creative department.
  • Understanding of current educational developments within the subject.
