The Maria Montessori Institute seeks a dynamic individual with excellent organisation and communication skills (in person, phone and writing) to support our Training Team in the day-to-day running of the training centre and with the administration of the assessment processes for the AMI Montessori Diploma, Foundation Degree and Early Year Educator qualifications.
Based in the Fitzrovia Centre, your role will be broad ranging and focused upon ensuring that our Training Centre runs efficiently, including ensuring our students and visitors receive first-class customer service in all their dealings with the Centre.
This Will Include:
- Ensuring internal and external communications with students, team members, teaching practice schools and visitors, including guest speakers, are timely, relevant and of a high quality, whether through telephone or email.
- Ensuring the training centre runs smoothly including accurate record keeping and filing, maintaining and ordering stationery and other supplies including household. Taking deliveries and dealing with visitors and enquiries.
- Administration of our on-line marking and plagiarism tool, Turnitin and Learning Management System, Moodle and provision of student support.
- Managing all on-site arrangements for events, meetings and courses, including preparing the room and catering e.g. tea, coffee, lunches for events and workshops held at the Training Centre, and assisting at the events with registration. Organising packs and handouts for events.
- Communications related to the training and qualifications, including letters to students about their progress, attendance records, examination results and assessments.
You will be part of a small team, so a flexible approach and the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and be confident in dealing with a range of external contacts is essential. You will possess excellent administrative skills, a high level of attention to detail, and excellent written English and proofing skills. Experience within the education sector is desirable, though not essential.
