If so, we may have the perfect role for you as a new and exciting vacancy has arisen for a dynamic Quality Care Specialist to join the Regional team at MMCG. Please note this is a regional role covering our portfolio of services in the North East England and therefore the successful candidate is required to hold a UK Driving Licence. Due to locality, there may also be the need for overnight stays.

The main function of the role is to be deployed into a service which requires care support to achieve quality focused outcomes, such as:

  • Coaching staff on best care practice
  • Writing and evaluating person centred care plans
  • Supporting in management of individual care needs

About You:

  • Senior Care Assistant/Level 3 qualified
  • Experience of working in a Care Home setting is essential
  • A practical, 'hands on' approach – working on the floor guiding, coaching, and training staff
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory standards, statutory requirements in a care home setting and of improvement methods with the ability to guide, coach and practically empower services to implement change
  • Experience of conducting checks on care plan completion & staff observation – adopting the principle of showing the person, watching the person complete and providing feedback

Skills Required:

  • Experienced in supporting/developing care teams
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of developing links with healthcare professionals and external organisations
  • An ability to work flexibly to the needs of the service and organisation
