Overview

About the Role: To help those we care for to live the most rewarding, engaging and fulfilling lifestyle that they are able to whilst meeting their needs in terms of the Mind, Body and Soul. To support the planning, creation and delivery of a welcoming and inviting home-based Lifestyle Programme aimed at encouraging residents to participate and engage in a wide-ranging variety of activities. Offered as part of our groupwide More… Programme, the focus is on ensuring that resident interests and needs are met consistently and creatively whilst adapting to varying levels of physical and mental ability.

We provide full training, so we’d also love to hear from you whatever your background; it is just as important that you’re organised, have great communication skills, and that you’re flexible enough to work shifts. Shifts will be required across a 7-day period, with patterns scheduled on a rota basis, including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, creating and delivering a home-based Lifestyle Programme to engage residents in a wide range of activities.
  • Support the delivery of lifestyle sessions both in group and individual settings.
  • Adapt activities to varying levels of physical and mental ability while maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Help develop strong community links and contribute to the delivery of successful events.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of new concepts and ideas.
  • Contribute to training and qualifications related to Lifestyle / Activities as part of career development.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

  • Understanding of how social interaction impacts the general wellbeing of people.
  • Ability to assist in the delivery of lifestyle sessions in both group and individual formats.
  • Ability to assist in developing strong community links and delivering successful events.
  • Flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
  • Ability to contribute to the consistent delivery and implementation of new concepts and ideas.
  • Demonstration of potential to develop through Lifestyle / Activities training and qualifications.
