Job Overview

We are recruiting for Registered Nurses to join the Trust\’s services at Ferndene Hospital (Children and Young People, aged 13–18 years) and related units. The service provides assessment, care and treatment for patients with mental health difficulties, learning disabilities and autism, in general admission settings and secure environments. The Trust offers development opportunities through its in-house Academy, Thrive wellbeing programme and a range of training.

Location

CNTW (Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust) – Ferndene Hospital site, Ashington and other CNTW locations as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including taking and recording medical notes and contributing to care plans within your sphere of competence.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Deliver nursing care tailored to the needs of children and young people with mental health needs, learning disabilities or autism, in both general and secure settings.
  • Adhere to professional standards and ensure care plans reflect best practice and patient needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (or equivalent for the region).
  • Experience in caring for patients with cancer is noted in some roles; other roles require mental health, learning disability or pediatric nursing experience as applicable.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and ability to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

Contract and Pay
