As Maria Mallaband Care Group continues its growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join the team. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, our Internal Auditor will be responsible for auditing care homes across the group, promoting and supporting the continuous improvement of quality and service delivery to meet and exceed outcomes for individual service users. They will provide expert knowledge support, identify opportunities, potential quality related risks and devise appropriate action plans to support improvement within the services.
About You
As our Internal Auditor you will have the following experience and qualifications:
- The post holder should hold a Nursing qualification or NVQ 5 in Leadership and Management.
- Proven track record of managing in a clinical or healthcare setting within the last 3 years.
- A full, valid driving licence is essential.
- Encourages a culture that values openness, honesty, rigor and challenge to embed the MMCG values and behaviours.
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational, report writing, communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Educate and promote Quality Assurance best practice.
- Promote and influence quality related improvements, share experiences, learning and best practice.
- Support the implementation and improvement of internal and external quality standards, in the pursuit of determining and establishing continuous improvement.
- Participate in reviewing and/or formulation of documentation, policies and procedures to improve MMCG's Quality Management System in line with regulatory standards.
- Support services to achieve key performance indicators in quality and promote ideas for future improvement.
- Deliver risk based audit programme which is informed by and then feeds into the overall operational quality function of the business.
- Manage portfolio and ensure issues and risks are escalated to the Head of Internal Audit as appropriate.
